Online Safety

At The Holme we take Online Safety very seriously.  The children have regular access to iPads, PCs and laptops so it is essential that they know how to keep themselves safe when online.

Each year we carry out a pupil questionnaire to find out how our children are using technology at home so that we know where to focus our teaching.  We also take part in national initiatives, such as Safer Internet Day.

We use a lot of the CEOP and Think You Know materials to support learning about Online Safety.  They produce films, lesson plans and information for parents and teachers so that we can work together to keep our children safe.

Here are some of the CEOP parent leaflets:

You can also look at the CEOP website directly and download materials from there or the Think You Know website.

The NSPCC website is also full of useful information for schools and families.

Our E-Safety Policy gives further details of how we manage this aspect of Computing and Safety.
